Chicagoland Football Officials Assignments

Welcome to the online Football Crew Open Date Sheet process. The purpose of this online process is to assist Crew Chiefs to electronically complete and submit their Crew Open Date information for the upcoming football season.

The online Open Date Sheet process requires the use of each official’s I.H.S.A. Identification Number. This unique identifier supplies information for many parts of the Open Date Sheet. Please read and carefully follow the instructions.

If you are the Crew Chief for an existing crew the process will use your I.H.S.A. Identification Number to identify your previous Crew Open Date Sheet, it will be accessed and displayed on the screen. Carefully examine the data that is provided. If anything from your previous Open Date Sheet needs to be updated or changed, enter the new information in the appropriate field(s).

If you are a new Crew Chief or Crew Chief for a changed or reorganized crew, that did not last season submit a Football Crew Open Date Sheet, enter your I.H.S.A. Identification Number in the appropriate box. Answer Yes to the query 'Are you a new crew chief'. You will be provided with a blank Crew Open Date Sheet. Follow the instructions; enter the requested information for each crew member in the appropriate fields. You will have the opportunity to specify the conferences where your crew wishes to be assigned.

When you have completed your inputs and made your changes, use the UPDATE button at the end of the section to save and electronically submit your Open Date Sheet information. After your sheet has been submitted, you will be given an opportunity to PRINT your completed 2024 Football Crew Open Date Sheet. After printing your crew sheet, the FINISH button will exit you from the process.

As has been done in the past, the Chicagoland HS Football Assigners enforce a strict policy for the 2024 season regarding VARSITY crews that submit their availability to the annual assignment meeting with Friday dates open to schools and conferences outside of the Chicagoland HS Football Assigners area.

The 2024 assigners' policy is that crews that close ANY Friday dates, even one, to schools or conferences outside of the Chicagoland Assigners group, that crew will be moved downward and will not be considered for assignment selection until the last round. This will result in fewer assignments being available to such crews.

Crew Chiefs should carefully consider this outcome prior to accepting assignments outside of the Chicagoland area.

Your 2024 Football Crew Open Date Sheet must be completed online and filed no later than Tuesday, April 23, 2024. If you fail to file Open Date Sheet information by this deadline, you and your crew will not be considered for 2024 football assignments at the Sunday, April 28, 2024 assignment meeting.
